I picked up a few paperbacks on Friday, and whipped through them over the weekend. I've also read quite a few other books since my last reading post.

Jace slept over at a friends house, so I went out with the "girls" on Friday night. We had margaritas and Mexican food, and then we dropped off my car at my house and went out to a bar with a nice patio. Saturday was International Learn to Fly Day, and I got to cover an event at the local airport. A flight instructor, who has been flying for 50 years, took me up in his Cesna 172. It's the first time I've ever been in a plane that size, where I had more than a porthole view of the ground.

I read "First Drop of Crimson" by Jeanine Frost, a spin off from her Night Huntress series. Next was "The Last Illusion" by Rhys Bowen, the latest in her Molly Murphy mystery series. This morning on the way to work, for the second day in a row, I forgot to disengage my autopilot while driving through Fox Lake and had to make my way through town to avoid a closed road instead of taking the detour. So, yeah... I whipped through six romance novels over the weekend, Four were re-reads, if only to keep me out of the bookstore.
